While for many of his contemporaries repetition became a new standard rather than innovation, Jacek Sienkiewicz with every release seems to be broading his musical horizons and challenging new territories. "Beacon" seems to be even more organic than previous Recognition releases, and the warm, yet unstoppable beat workout suddenly goes all jazzy and cinematic, with irresistible saxophone hook. Big surprise here, but Jacek blends the sounds into one of his trademark, 12+ minutes long, massive club anthem. Another surprise is brought by the flipside - this remix is courtesy of the man of the moment Michel Bauman, here applying his Soulphiction alter ego to dark, smoky and very tropical variation on a familiar theme.
